VALE LIZZIE COYNE

One of QLTG's founding members and longtime piano accompanist, Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Coyne, has passed away.

American-born Lizzie was one of eight women who founded QLTG in 2001. Lizzie was at the heart of musical performances, as the group's rehearsal and show pianist until her retirement following Return to Casting Capers in 2015.

She especially excelled in our bigger shows like Sound of Music, as the pianist in a large orchestra.

Lizzie had the ability to make everyone sound good. She was a true accompanist who followed the soloist and helped them. She rarely missed a rehearsal and many, many times she held private rehearsals in her home.

Lizzie was Musical Director for a number of QLTG shows and also provided the recorded underscore for Calendar Girls in 2016.
