QLTG is proud to present two radio plays, each offering a unique journey into the power of sound and storytelling.
A Flock of Tigers Directed by Petrina Dakin
Red-Handed Directed by Carol Fogg
A Flock of Tigers
Set during a chance encounter on a train, A Flock of Tigers gently unfolds as a witty and imaginative conversation between two very different travellers. What begins as an ordinary journey develops into something more playful and unexpected, as the characters explore ideas of creativity, connection, and the limits we place on ourselves. With John Finnemore’s trademark humour and charm, the piece balances light‑hearted banter with moments of quiet reflection, creating an engaging and entertaining two‑hander. The episode was widely praised and was shortlisted for Best Scripted Comedy Drama at the BBC Audio Drama Awards in 2016
Red Handed
In contrast,
Red Handed
Takes place over a single, tightly contained meeting between two men when an unexpected visitor is discovered in a very compromising situation. What follows is a fast‑paced and sharply observed exchange that blends comedy with tension, as shifting perspectives and hidden motivations gradually come into play. The play showcases Finnemore’s skill at crafting dialogue-driven drama, with humour arising from character rather than circumstance.
As with all the Double Acts, it stands alone while subtly echoing the wider world of the series, offering audiences an intriguing and entertaining snapshot without giving away all its secrets
