Synopsis

The adventures of the little wooden puppet are brought to life by the wishful thinking of dear old Geppetto, woodcarver extraordinaire.

With the kind blue fairy looking after him, Pinocchio sets out to be a good and honest puppet in the hope that one day he will turn into a real live boy.

Heading off to school to learn to read and write as well as a trade, he is lured into the theatre and Pinocchio ends up on the stage. With gold in his pockets, he is tricked into following the clever cat and the sly old fox, only to discover they were after his money not his friendship.

Alone and heartbroken Pinocchio sets out to find Geppetto and make amends. The journey takes him many miles, and many lessons are learnt along the way.
